Super Bowl squares is a popular game for football fans to partake in some friendly competition while watching the Super Bowl. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how the game works:
The Grid:
The game starts with a 10x10 grid, making up 100 squares.
Participants buy squares on the grid until all squares are filled or the game begins. Each square is equal to one entry in the game, and each square is randomly assigned.
Assigning Numbers:
After all the squares are filled, numbers 0-9 are randomly assigned to the rows and columns through a random number generator. These numbers represent the last digit of the score for each team. For example, if one team's score ends in 3 and the other team's score ends in 7, you would look for where the row with 3 intersects with the column with 7 on the grid.
How to Win:
Winners are determined at the end of each quarter based on the last digit of each team’s score:
1st Quarter: The person whose square intersects with the last digits of the score at the end of the first quarter wins.
2nd Quarter: Similarly, the score at the end of the second quarter determines another winner.
3rd Quarter: The score at the end of the third quarter determines another winner.
4th Quarter/Final Score: The final score of the game determines the winner of the main prize. In some versions of the game, if the Super Bowl goes into overtime, the final score after overtime is used.
Prizes
Prizes are given out at the end of each quarter. The typical prize breakdown awards a set amount for the winners of the first three quarters and a larger sum for the final score winner.

Each square is $25.
